Hello my dear ones,
here I have already told you something about the Molzbachhof. During our stay we were never bored as there is so much to discover in Kirchberg. I have to admit that we were lazier than usual but that was ok. Normally I´m that kind of person who wants to try everything although there is not much time and in the end you come home more tired than before. This time we didn´t stress us at all, ate very much and enjoyed the wellness area.
Paradise Garden and Food
The main part of the hotel is in my opinion the paradise garden (Paradiesgart´l in German). It´s a garden full of surprises. On a late afternoon we strolled around and discovered these comfy wooden houses and my personal highlight – the floating lounge. It is a perfect place of retreat where you can find a small choice of books or just relax. There is also a swimming pond and you can nibble currants and other berries, just pick them on your own…sooo good! In the garden there are not only guests walking around but also the hotel employees picking herbs from their herbs garden and use them for the “Cook the Gart´l” dinner. Peter junior and his girlfriend worked abroad for a long time and when they returned the idea emerged of using only regional products (their herbs, berries, vegetables and even the breakfast eggs from the own chickens) and those from the surrounding farmers, like the beef from the farmer just opposite the hotel.
The food was amazing starting from the breakfast, the lunch to the dinner. The breakfast was a buffet and we couldn´t complain at all cheese, muesli, freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs everything was there. Between 12:00 and 14:00 there is the lunch where you have a salad buffet and a soup of the day. We didn´t miss anything as you see! On Friday we had a 4 course “Cook the Gart´l” dinner and were just amazed by the creations. But the real highlight was on Saturday, my first 10 course called “Signature Menu” which includes corresponding wines. If you also want to try this delicious menu you have to book it in advance. It was such an honour to experience 10 courses where the hotel director and chef de cuisine Peter junior served us the courses and his girlfriend Nina the wine always with a story behind. We were sitting for three hours just eating, and I told Peter to make smaller portions but still ate everything, how ironic. 🙂
Activities and Wellness
On Saturday we went to the wellness area to have our massage and the “Feel the Gart´l” herbal floating bath. You get some oil on your body and then the herbs (from the own garden of the Molzbachhof) act as a peeling. After this your body is wrapped up and the bath gets filled with warm water. You lay on the water and just float, like on a ship. After this we enjoyed a massage and also went to the sauna as most of the guests spent the day at the pool and we were there alone. Don´t miss the relaxation room where you again can float on the deck chairs and enjoy some tea.
Those of you who like to hike there are many possibilities as the village is surrounded by many mountains. You can also rent an e-bike. We just explored the area a little bit and went to the beautiful Wolfgang church. One weekend is just not enough to see all the nature beauty but Molzbachhof we will come back for sure!
